The PORTLAND MERCURY
 
When I landed in Portland, I was fortunate to find a position at the Portland Mercury. I love page design and this offered a great platform for me to flex my skills and read the paper before anyone else. 
 
These are some of the elements that worked on in the production of this weekly paper. I came on staff in the midst of a national art director search and threw my hat in the ring. The cover mock-ups that you see here were a few of my favorite submissions for the job. In the end I was the runner up.
